Greetings Suncoast League Members! I am excited to be serving as your new President and hope we can have a very successful year here in the Suncoast region and in Tallahassee. We will continue to great momentum that we have built up over the past several years. We have wonderful resources at our fingertips and a great team to implement positive change for our municipalities. The next legislative session doesn’t begin until March 2023, so things will look a little different this year than last year. We will be formulating some strategies early on to curtail any potential bad bills before session even starts. If you have anything that you are concerned about coming up again in the next session, please let us know now so we can start working on it.

Please review the important listed on our website calendar and add them to your calendars! We do our best to keep our Monthly meetings consistent around the 3rd Friday of the month, but there are a lot of other events to take into consideration so pay careful attention to those dates. We will not be having a regular meeting in June or July. We will have our Planning Retreat in July and all members are welcome to attend. Stay tuned for more information on our Candidates Idea Summit in late July, where we will be hosting candidates from around our area for a round-robin style candidate forum. We hope to see you all at the Florida League of Cities Annual Meeting in August!
